Five Oaks

Five Oaks was the home of J. Walter McClymond and his wife Flora Russell McClymond until the early 1900's. The house stood empty for twelve years when in 1924 their daughter Ruth McClymond gave their family home to become the Massillon Woman's Club.

Shortly after 1830, twins Joshua D and David R. Atwater began the ten-year construction of their large, "twin" houses, which were separated only by a brick wall.
